Born in Minneapolis and raised in Canada, Jill is a graduate of Toronto’s Humber College, where she studied jazz performance and arranging under Ron Collier, Duke Ellington’s arranger in the 1970s. After moving to New York City, she honed her craft at the New School with mentors like Richie Beirach, Kenny Werner, and Jim Hall.
A celebrated artist, Jill has won prestigious competitions including the Great American Jazz Piano Competition and has performed at iconic venues such as Dizzy’s Club at Lincoln Center, The Blue Note, and the Carlyle Hotel. Her latest album Gin, featuring Vincent Herring and Randy Brecker, recently soared to #11 on the JazzWeek chart.

All ticket sales are final, and refunds are only issued if an event is canceled or rescheduled by Decibel. If an event is canceled or rescheduled, tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date or a refund will be provided in accordance with our refund policy. Requests for refunds due to personal reasons or changes in plans are not accepted.
Decibel reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, all ticket holders will be notified, and refunds will be issued or tickets will be valid for a rescheduled date.
